A show comprised of scenes set around the world is being presented free one night only on April 9 at 8 p.m. at Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., in Manhattan.

In one scene, a man find’s a lost diary in Manhattan. In another, a man proposes at Aprhodite’s Rock, Cyprus.
We see two teenagers break into Tennessee Williams’ former residence in New Orleans only to encounter an unusual presence. A couple has a conversation in a Paris cafe that turns out to be much more than meets the eye- or the ear. There’s also a romance in Vermont and an encounter in the Sistine Chapel.
“The idea is to present stories where the setting is a big part of the plot,” said Claude Solnik, a playwright who wrote many of the one acts. “The show lets you travel via theater from Central Park to Cyprus, New Orleans to Rome.”
The one acts were written by Claude Solnik and Craig Pospisil. Scenes were directed by Jeff Bennett, Jim Black, Robert and Joanne Domingo, Rich Jimenez and Claude Solnik.
